Let's Start the Year Right | Personal Finance

January 04, 2022

This is just a continuation of my previous blog regarding prepaid cards since I will be talking about more on my newly opened savings account or more likely about personal finance.

You can check my blog here: How To Survive Buying In Online Shop Without Having Credit Card?

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED

NCT Dream's song 'Hello Future' really inspired me to make a move and start planing for my personal finance this year, 2022.

In the past few weeks, I've been watching and reading stuff about finance. Like personal finance, how to save your money and also something about investments. Wow! Take note this is not me during my early 20s but right now it really made me think why I haven't started saving up for my future and also why I always buy things like crazy.  What a big spender of money am I.

2022 - the year to make things right. Let's do it self! I personally opened (take note opening it online - no hassle) additional 3 digital banks which I will be mentioning on the latter part of my blog. I read a lot of reviews about this 3 digital banks and the interest rate was no joke compared to my existing savings account in BDO and BPI. Oh! And before I forgot I also opened an account with PagIBIG MP2 Savings and will start to deposit this month (January 2022).

Why? or what is the reason behind this thing?

I was inspired by Nicole Alba on Youtube like, she was just young when she started about personal finance but here I am so near in my 30s (not really - just advance thinking hahaha), doesn't have enough savings for myself. Thank you also for tips and also for sample finance tracker because of that I even created my own finance tracker and I felt so happy and I really think that it can help me in the long run.

Since I am big spender when it comes to KPOP albums/merch (yes! and somehow I regret buying some of that right now), it really made me think if this can really help me on my future or not. So this year, I will be limiting myself when it comes to buying albums and merch. I mean, I am not stopping it all at once but I'll make it lesser, for example one album in every two months and I think it's not bad since in the past I used to buy all versions like 3 albums or more in a month hahahaha OMG!
Just a disclaimer, I am currently employed and all of my expenses with albums/merch comes from my income whenever I have extra.

So let's get into the topic. Money, money, let's make more money.

WHAT IS DIGITAL BANKING?

"Digital banking is the digitization of every level, from front- to back-end, of banking. This means that digital banks rely on artificial intelligence to automate back-end operations such as administrative tasks and data preocessing - which in turen alleviates pressure put on employees to complete day-to-day tasks."

Earning money doesn't mean you need to focus on just one area, just like your full time job. You should also consider other aspects for you to grow your money. For example, by doing side hustles, building a business and also by doing investments.
As for me, I do have a business but it's more likely a side hustle. We are selling KPOP albums/merch which we bought directly from South Korea and it is 100% authentic/legit. You can check our social medias for more information:

But I will be talking more about investment since I am so curious on having more than one as long as I can provide a great capital and I need to be ready because we'll never know what can be the risk on having an investment.

What is investment?

Investment or investing means that an asset is bought, or that money is put into a bank to get a future interest from it. Investment is a total amount of money spent by a shareholder in buying shares of a company. (Source: Wikipedia)

Let's now talk about Pag-IBIG MP2 (Modified Pag-IBIG 2) savings on why you should start investing your money here. Since I am also new to this, I will just put some links that can help you to decide whether you will also open an account with them or not.

All of the links provided will help you from how to open an account to how you can earn dividends and also where to pay your funds.

I am also planning to invest on GInvest which  you can find on your GCash app and also in SeedIn but since I'm still researching more about those two, I will just update you guys on this blog once I started investing to them.

Investment is really a risk so we should know more about the things revolve around it and to where we should  invest our money. And be prepared also for the outcomes of your investment/s.

To be updated..
